Unclassified stones

These are all VERY nice NWA and Sahara meteorites-not the weathered, broken fragments you see everywhere. Because of this, each piece is priced individually. They are all great for display or (as I have done), passing around at presentations.

Great example to show both crust and interior. One of the nicest pieces of its size I have seen.

39.8g
VERY fresh piece. Crust is black with a hint of brown (not rust, but actual color of crust). Picture does not do it justice. The dealer I bought it from assured me it was an LL6, but I cannot make that claim. Still, a real nice specimen.

54.7g
Nice thick crust on the top side, good shape and texture on the bottom.

57.1g
It is easy to tell how this stone was lying on the ground when it was discovered. A nice shiny top side and a well-preserved bottom. You can also see where some chondrules burned out and some protrude.
$75

104g fragment
Real nice crust on the top. Right picture shows interior.
$50

110g
Nice little individual with ~97% fusion crust. Dark in color, both sides show excellent character.
$70

170.5g
Somewhat of a cuboid shape and MUCH nicer than the pictures show. This was my favorite to pass around at presentations. When people people would show me meteor-wrongs, I would break this one out to show what a real meteorite looks like.
$150

184.6g
This individual has a great shape and some unique features. Most noticeable is the chondrule protruding from it. A pretty good bargain at this price.

206g
This is actually an unclassified Saharan stone recovered in 2006 by a French team. Nice dark crust and great shape make this particularly nice.
$250

285g
Great from top to bottom-fully crusted and a cool shape, too! The crust is rather thick and the shape has a nice flat side and angular qualities.

287.1g
VERY nice stone. The picture on the right shows more correctly the color, shiny and dark. This was my favorite to show people new to meteorites. Two small windows show the interior and crust. The shape exemplifies what a meteorite should look like.
$300

352.5g
Great piece with the top side showing nice fresh crust, the bottom exhibiting some contraction cracks. This one displays real nicely.
$325

502.2g
Fine example of a fully crusted NWA. This is not patina, but actual fusion crust. Note the extensive contraction cracks.
$400
